Dallas PULSE Adds Jamille Torres and Robert Poole to 2027 Coaching Staff

FRISCO, Texas (October 12, 2026) - The Dallas PULSE is building on its championship-winning inaugural season with the addition of Jamille Torres and Robert Poole to the franchise's coaching staff and volleyball operations department for 2027.

Torres will serve as assistant coach, while Poole will take on dual roles as assistant coach and performance analyst. Both bring extensive volleyball experience and a shared commitment to player development.

“There’s no question Jamille and Rob bring a high level of experience to the team," said head coach Shannon Winzer. "But it’s their drive to find that one percent in the development of our athletes and the progress of our team, along with their commitment to building strong relationships with both athletes and staff, that make me confident they are the perfect fit for Dallas PULSE."

Torres joins Dallas with more than two decades of international coaching experience at the highest levels of competition. Originally from Naranjito, Puerto Rico, he is known for his attention to detail, ability to develop talent and commitment to building strong team cultures. Most recently, Torres served as head coach of the Puerto Rico Men’s National Team. In July, he led the team to a silver medal at the Central American and Caribbean Games. That result followed a historic silver-medal finish at the 2025 NORCECA Final Six, where Puerto Rico earned its first-ever medal in the tournament.

Poole brings a combination of collegiate coaching experience, performance analytics and an international playing background. Originally from Enfield, England, he recently completed his second season as head coach of the University of Charleston Golden Eagles men’s volleyball program. Over five years with the program, his work emphasized player development, analytics and attention to detail.

In 2026, Poole guided the Golden Eagles to the EIVA semifinals and became the first head coach in program history to win a set in that round.

Before moving into coaching, Poole competed with the England Men’s National Team and played professionally for clubs in Germany, the Netherlands and Estonia. His playing career included stops with VC Bitterfeld Wolfen and VC Gotha in Germany, VoCASA in the Netherlands and Parnu VK in Estonia.

Dallas enters the 2027 season as the reigning MLV champion, with Torres and Poole joining Winzer as the team prepares for its second year. After bringing professional women’s volleyball to North Texas, the PULSE quickly established itself as a contender, capturing the 2026 MLV championship and the $1 million prize in its first season.
