OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha Supernovas have acquired the No. 4 overall pick in the upcoming 2026 Major League Volleyball Draft from the DC Flight in exchange for opposite Emily Londot and the No. 8 overall pick.
The trade moves Omaha up four spots for its highest draft position in franchise history while maintaining all three of its selections. The league’s first-ever 12-team draft is set for Monday, Nov. 23 and will feature 24 picks across two rounds.
The Vegas Thrill hold the No. 1 overall pick, followed by the LA Thunder at No. 2, Minnesota Forge at No. 3, Omaha at No. 4 and NorCal Rumble at No. 5. The Supernovas also own the No. 10 overall pick in the first round and the No. 22 overall pick in the second round.
“Emily has grown with our franchise since we selected her in the 2024 MLV Draft, and we’re incredibly grateful for everything she has contributed over the past two seasons,” General Manager John Cook said. “This trade gives her the opportunity to pursue a larger role at her natural position while allowing us to move up in the draft. We’re proud of what Emily accomplished in Omaha and wish her nothing but the best in DC.”
The Supernovas acquired the No. 8 selection from the Grand Rapids Rise in a February trade during the 2026 regular season. That deal also brought libero Elena Oglivie to Omaha and sent libero Morgan Hentz to Grand Rapids.
Selected by Omaha with the No. 10 overall pick in the second round of the 2024 MLV Draft, the Ohio State graduate and 2025 MLV All-Star joins a DC expansion franchise competing in the league’s new Eastern Conference.
The Supernovas return to Kiewit Court at the CHI Health Center in January for the 2027 MLV season.
Season tickets are on sale now, giving fans the opportunity to watch the Supernovas for as little as $9 per match. Season ticket holders also receive significant savings over single-match ticket prices, invitations to exclusive events and a commemorative gift.
Omaha has established itself as Major League Volleyball’s most successful franchise, compiling a 54-31 record through its first three seasons. The Supernovas are the only team to qualify for the postseason every year since the league’s inception, capturing the inaugural 2024 MLV Championship, winning the 2025 MLV Regular Season Title and making their second championship match appearance with a runner-up finish in 2026.
