OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha Supernovas are bringing professional volleyball instruction back to south-central Nebraska, teaming up with Kearney SportsPlex to host two All-Skills Volleyball Clinics on Sunday, Nov. 22. The return to Kearney reflects the Supernovas' commitment to expanding access to high-level volleyball training and connecting the next generation of players with the athletes and coaches who compete at the professional level.

Young athletes will have the opportunity to sharpen their fundamentals, elevate their understanding of the game and gain valuable insight from members of the Supernovas organization. Led by Supernovas athletes and coaches, including new head coach Chris McGown and associate head coach and Thomas Robson, the clinics will feature skill-based instruction, competitive exercises and techniques designed to help participants take the next step in their volleyball development.

The day will feature two sessions tailored to different age groups. The Mini Novas All-Skills Clinic will welcome second- through fifth-grade athletes from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by a participant autograph session from 12:30 to 1 p.m. Middle school athletes will take the court from 2 to 3:30 p.m., with their autograph session scheduled from 3:30 to 4 p.m.

Both clinics will take place at Kearney SportsPlex, a $45 million, 209,000-square-foot indoor athletic facility that opened in April 2025. Built to accommodate a wide range of sports and activities, the complex features more than 59,000 square feet of hardwood gym space that can be configured into 12 volleyball courts, along with a 66,000-square-foot indoor turf field, a 300-meter indoor track and pickleball courts.

Space for both sessions is limited, and interested participants are encouraged to register early. Registration is available here.

Fans and participants will also have the opportunity to purchase official Omaha Supernovas merchandise, with Lawlor’s on-site throughout the event offering a selection of Novas gear.

Last year’s inaugural clinics proved to be a regional success for the Supernovas, attracting young athletes from more than 70 cities and towns across Nebraska and neighboring states, underscoring the event’s reach well beyond the Kearney area.
